Good News here at Dinky Shoes- well, good news if you're a size 13 feet and you like Angulus Boots!!
After placing it on hold for a customer, we have today been told that she doesn't want it- So we have a red lace up Angulus boot for sale on our website, this style sold out almost immediately and we have since had many many telephone calls asking if we have this lace up Angulus boot.
I believe that Angulus have been using this boot in their advertising campaign, and it came in lots of different colours, including green and purple, but we decided to stock this Angulus style in the vibrant red colour.
Its really unusual Angulus boot, with chunky beige lace up the front, like a boxing style boot. In the usual Angulus style they are made from beautiful soft leather, and have a wide toe and stitch down crepe sole unit.
This is the last pair in this style of Angulus we have in stock so, if you are a size 32 (13) then don't miss out!

It's been fun and games here in Kendal these past few days, we've had a months rainfall in few days, and the river has burst its banks!! Typical British weather hey?
Today is the first day of our winter promotions on dinkyshoes.com, and have made reductions up to 35%. All our reduced stock can be found in our Special Offers section of our website. In our girls range we have reduced some lovely winter boots, including Naturino and Rondinella; also there are shoes, trainers, and also some bargains to be had in the sandal range, as we know alot of people go to sunnier climes for Christmas.

We've had another delivery of our Autumn/Winter 09 Geox trainers! Hurray! After weeks of to-ing and fro-ing, and grumpy calls to Italy, we have now received some more of our Geox order. We have a big long waiting list for the Geox trainers, so we are glad that we have had some more, as its been Geox mad around here!
Particularly boys Geox has arrived, with some really gorgeous and practical styles for this season. One style that I think will be very popular will be Geox Staff, which reminds me of a Nike Dunk Lo or a skater shoe! It goes up to a 39, so I quite fancy getting myself one in a 37, ha ha!
This delivery of Geox has tended towards browns and khaki, which I suppose is a good colour for autumn/winter (won't show the dirt) as boys will be boys. To buck the trend we have had a couple of funky coloured Geox boots arrive, one in beautiful red leather and the other in camel nubuck leather- both great for wider fitting feet.
Also in this delivery are 3 styles of girls Geox, including pink Geox and purple Geox; they are not on my website today but will be tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled.

Well- I spoke too soon! Must have tempted fate by talking about how nice the weather has been this month, and today it's begun raining up here in Kendal!
Dena and I were very excited to accept the delivery of Rondinella, here at Dinky Shoes. Especially as Dena has two little girls with narrow feet! We coo over the Rondinella when the rep comes to show us the collection, and the Rondinella collection we have chosen are beautiful aubergine purples, bronze and silvers for girls in shoes and boots. And for boys we have funky greys and blacks, with the odd brown Rondinella boot thrown in for good measure.
Exquisitely made from the finest Italian leathers, we only stock a small Rondinella collection to give our clientele the exclusivity they deserve when buying such a desirable item. Not only are the Rondinella stunningly made with attention to detail, they are hard wearing too- with most of the collection sporting a durable toe guard- particularly the boys Rondinella!
Funnily enough, I went to Marks and Spencers the other week and they stock a wine called Rondinella! Might have to try that one evening! lol!

What a change in the weather, rain in August and glorious sunshine in September! Despite this, we are still selling boots!
We have received the majority of our winter boot collections, and what beautiful collections we have. Not very suprisingly, one of our Angulus boot's has already sold out! The Danish company have proved to be our best seller every year, and winter 2009 is no different. We stocked the red lace up style, just like the green one in the advert but unfortunately our last pair sold last week. We do however stock other Angulus styles, including the Pewter/Bronze coloured Angulus boot which also features on the advert.
We have also got some of the boys Angulus dealer boots still in stock, in both chestnut brown and black. With the durable crepe sole unit, and their 'polish-ability', it is understandable why parents buy the Angulus year after year... when a boot lasts that well and still looks good 'worn in', then price sometimes isn't an issue.

Well, back to school season is almost over...with the last few remaining kids going back in the next few days. We have remerchandised the shop with our new Autumn / Winter 2009 boot collection, so we are no longer drowning in a sea of black! We are now selling mostly boots and Geox trainers.
We have received about 20% of our Geox order for Autumn / Winter 2009, mostly boys, with funky designs such as red 'Batman' style Geox, blue 'Spiderman' style Geox, and Blue/Yellow 'Dragon' style Geox. All of the Geox we have received so far are proving very popular and we have found that demand is very high this season.
We are very excited to received the rest of the Geox order, which has been promised to arrive mid September, which will include girls and boys Geox trainers, plus the Geox boots which were extremely popular in previous years.

Today, Parcelforce has delivered our first batch of Autumn/Winter 2009 Geox and we are already selling them as quick as we are unpacking. We always have a waiting list for our Geox trainers and although there are more deliveries of Geox waiting to arrive, we anticipate that this first batch will sell out fairly quickly before we recieve the next delivery of Geox
There are some nice Geox trainers in this first batch, including boys and girls styles, and Geox school shoes! Yes...to keep up with customer demand we are stocking a boys Geox school shoe called William, in a buttery soft leather.
My particular favourite so far is the Geox Eclipse trainer in red and grey, I think this will be really popular because they flash...and not only does the Geox heel unit light up, but the Bat's eyes light up too! ...Great for finding the kids in the dark...or if you're Bruce Wayne (Batman)!

Well, where's this heatwave that was predicted?! It feels like its time to put the summer sandals away in the wardrobe and feels like the perfect rainy day for doing all those mundane jobs, like getting the kids school uniform sorted, and getting your Start Rite School shoes fitted!
From speaking to customers we hear that our local M & S is already getting low on their uniform stock! It seems like the kids have only just broken up, but the Back to School season has started early this year! Every other sale at this time of year is a Start Rite school shoe, and its a good job we have lots of Start Rite school shoes in stock to cater for the demand!!

This is our first blog...
Over the weekend Dinky Shoes accepted a delivery of our Autumn / Winter 2009 Converse All Star trainers. There are some really funky designs of the Converse All Star for this season, including bubblegum, enamel blue and chocolate brown. Of course we always stock the core Converse All Star colours, including red, navy and black.
On Friday, our Converse All Star rep, Mike, came in on his way back to Manchester to show us the Spring / Summer 2010 collection of Converse All Star trainers. We have ordered a great collection for next season, including a shark design for kids and metallic Converse All Star for teenagers.
We were very excited to unpack the Converse All Star Autumn / Winter 2009 collection as we all love our Converse All Star trainers, and most of the staff at Dinky Shoes own a pair. We have noticed that Converse All Star appear to be the shoe of choice for many celebrities too...the child auditionees on 'I'd Do Anything' (the show that found the stars of Oliver!) on BBC 1 were styled in Converse All Stars...and the children of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have also been seen wearing Converse All Star trainers.
